A SMALL RITUAL FOR GOING PLACES

A little time
to spare.

to know when it’s time to leave.

Make it yours

Demo hardware

Wi-Fi and NTP are simulated here. Browser time stands in for NTP. No device is connected.

Keyboard: 1–4 choose rows; in the walking editor, 1/2/3 choose walk/spread/margin, +/- adjust, Enter saves and Esc cancels.

Edits on the little screen stay in the demo until you apply them. The device interface is in English.

SETTLE IN. THEN SET OFF.

One small display. Your everyday journeys.

Transport network

ZTM Poznań · Europe/Warsaw

Choose a country, city or region, then a timetable feed from MobilityDatabase. One network per display.

Choose a network, then load its lines and stops.

Timetable ZIPs are downloaded once in your browser to build the choices. Wi-Fi credentials stay local. Unsupported archives or device limits are reported before installation.

Switch by time of day. Turn off to choose groups by touch.

02

A connection, then a little quiet.

The display keeps its timetable nearby. Your Wi-Fi settings go straight to the device over USB.

Groups, Wi-Fi name and password are saved only in this browser when remembering is on. They are never uploaded. Turn it off on a shared computer.

Sleep after 30 seconds of inactivity. Tap to wake with saved departures; Wi-Fi refreshes every three hours. Leave off for an always-visible display.

03

A small thing, ready to go.

Connect your display with a USB data cable. We’ll take it from here.

Checking the latest build

Loading the installer…

Read device logs over USB

Connect without reinstalling to diagnose Wi-Fi or startup. Logs stay here. Press the board’s RESET button to capture startup; reconnect if its USB port disappears.

Not connected

On power-up, a saved timetable appears before Wi-Fi connects. Saved times are labelled until the clock is synchronized; then countdowns and walking advice begin.

Desktop Chrome or Edge · GUITION ESP32-2424S012-V1.0 · 4 MB flash

Installation replaces the device’s firmware and saved settings. Wi-Fi settings are stored in its local flash.

Prefer to flash it yourself?

A binary will be available after the first published build.

Black screen or USB won’t connect?

Hold the board’s BOOT button while reconnecting USB, then release it. Select the newly appeared port and install again. This starts the chip’s built-in flasher and bypasses the current app; installing different firmware first is unnecessary.

Give an old Android tablet a new timetable.

Use the network, lines and groups above. Android 5.0 or newer · ARM tablets, including Fire 7 from 2015. The tablet uses its own Wi-Fi connection.

Enable Developer options and USB debugging on the tablet. Close other ADB tools before connecting. Approve the computer on the tablet when asked.

Motion dimming and startup

Some Fire OS versions block changing Home. Setup opens the tablet’s Home settings when automatic selection is unavailable.

Configure tablet Wi-Fi

Optional. Wi-Fi credentials go directly over USB to the app. Android or Fire OS may restrict network changes; setup reports refusals.

Dedicated tablet controls

Only for a dedicated tablet without accounts or an existing device owner. Android may refuse. Setup never resets the tablet. Use the app’s ••• menu to exit kiosk mode and open system settings.

The ADB host key is saved only in this browser and is never uploaded.

Advanced ADB controls

ADB commands run without root by default. Root uses an existing su installation and may ask for approval on the tablet.

Commands can change security settings or erase tablet data. Review every command, including AI-generated commands, before running it.

Battery and background apps

Read battery status and disable individual background apps without root. Android may restrict changes. Charging controls appear only when Android exposes a real writable battery threshold.

Install the latest Timetable app first. Select individual apps to stop their background services. Disabling keeps their data and can be reversed. Android core, launchers, settings, keyboards, administrators and Timetable are protected.

Less checking. More going.

Swipe to change group. Tap the heading to see them all. Hold the screen to add a line, choose its stop or adjust your walk.

Times are scheduled, rather than live vehicle predictions. “Walk est.” assumes your walking time varies uniformly within the range you set; it isn’t a measured chance of the vehicle arriving on time. Conditional boarding services are marked on the device.
